Here we have a 1998 edition of \"PLATES and BUCKLES of the AMERICAN MILITARY 1795 - 1874\" by Sydney C. Kerksis. The book is in excellent condition and has 568 pages illustrating about every known buckle and plate including the Confederate states buckles. This is a great book for identifying your finds with large pictures of the original items plus it gives you a rarity on each item. I have used one of these all the time when I want to ID a buckle. This book is in super nice condition however it did come from a home where there was smoking.
