Very good condition original pre WWI US military Model 1910bolo knife. Clearly marked “SA” on the left side of the blade ricasso forproduction by Springfield Armory and dated 1912 with a flaming bomb proof.Opposite side of blade is marked US with serial number. Blade has nice brightfinish with correct thin strip of blue at the base, and was period sharpened.Remaining metal finish is mostly brown and gray. Wood grips have originalfinish and a good tight fit with some normal wear and handling marks. Thescabbard latch button on the tang has been removed. Fitted in original WWIcanvas covered scabbard that has leather tip and is in excellent condition.Scabbard is super clean showing very little wear and has inspector initials onthe leather tip. A rare early M1910 bolo knife that will make a fine additionto your collection.
