I have been collecting miniature vintage tea sets for over a decade now and have never seen another tea set of this exquisite quality have such a large variety and quantity of pieces and most definitely not in this scale! In fact, this set is not dollhouse scale nor the 1:4 scale that OJ tea sets of this quality usually are. It is actually a rarely-seen 1:6 doll scale. It is perfect for 1:6 dolls like Barbie or Fashion Royalty and would be an absolutely exquisite, and very appropriate, addition to an extravagant Enchanted Doll collection!
If your dolls have discriminating taste and require luxurious China with which to entertain their equally discerning dinner party guests, you can finally stop looking and say goodbye to those pink plastic stand-ins! This set is the REAL DEAL! Although the box that comes with it indicates that it is a \"tea set,\" it is really more like a fine dining set because although it may include tea cups and saucers, it does NOT include a tea pot! In addition it includes not only PLATES AND BOWLS, which are extremely rare to find in a tea set this size, but THREE different sized plates: salad, dinner and dessert, as well as TWO different sized BOWLS! One would be hard-pressed to even FIND miniature plates in a size other than dollhouse scale, but you can FORGET about finding BOWLS!
All pieces are of a quality that suggests this set is more a collector\'s item rather than a child\'s toy. They are thin and delicate and have been meticulously hand-painted with an ornate pink rose motif and edged with (real?) gold. Moreover there are 12 place settings in all plus serving dishes providing copious amounts of dishes to display in BOTH that outstanding fashion doll kitchen diorama AND equally fabulous dining room\'s hutch! Each piece is unique and may have imperfections characteristic of handmade items, but upon inspecting them, I did not find any chips, cracks or damages on any piece! The fact that such a fragile set managed to survive all these years in such good condition is amazing! The only truly noteworthy problems with this set is that unfortunately there are 2 dessert plates missing and the pieces are a bit dusty so could use a good wash (I leave this delicate task up to the next owner) but neither issue detracts from the absolute beauty and splendor of the ensemble!

Also included is the original lidded box that has slots for each piece and is marked \"Made in Occupied Japan.\" It does have some damage and discoloration but is still in fair condition considering its age! It also includes its original excelsior for padding, but I will wrap each piece individually using bubble wrap to help prevent breakage in transit.

Shipping costs: Shipping quote includes postage via USPS Priority Mail, signature confirmation and insurance for any destination in the U.S.

Shipping costs for dolls: Unless noted, shipping quote is for shipping the doll in its box and shipper. The quote includes USPS postage, plus delivery confirmation and insurance anywhere in the U.S. Shipping in an additional outer box can also be arranged for an additional fee.

Combined Shipping: In an attempt to save buyers’ money, I gladly combine items to save on shipping when possible. Please wait for a revised invoice with combined shipping charges for multiple purchases before submitting payment.

Payment & Shipping: Payment must be made within 4 days of invoice; otherwise an unpaid item case will be filed. Upon receipt of payment that has cleared PayPal’s Payment Review, items will be shipped within 3 to 5 days. Payments made using eCheck will need to clear before the item is shipped. Items will be shipped to the name and address indicated on the PayPal Transaction Details only, so please be sure to choose the correct address.

Shipping Duration: Shipping times may vary. Please keep in mind that I am located in Hawaii so shipping estimates should be longer. Items shipped via USPS Priority may take from 1 to 2 weeks to arrive to a mainland address while Parcel Post (\"Economy Shipping\") may take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. I am a long-time er with an excellent track record. However, if you are too anxious to wait for a package, please choose the \"Expedited Shipping\" option!

Damaged & Misplaced Parcels: Since the item will be shipped with insurance, I will assist the buyer in petitioning an insurance claim from USPS for items that arrived damaged in transit. Damage needs to be reported to me within 5 business days of receiving the parcel. Parcels need to be missing for 21 days before a claim can be filed for a lost parcel.

Refunds: Again, I try my best to describe the condition of sale items as accurately as possible in words and images. I leave it up to buyers to contact me with any questions or if more information is needed prior to offerding. Consequently, all sales are final and returns are not accepted.

International Buyers: I have allowed international buyers from select countries to purchase my items. If you are from a country I have blocked, but have well-established response, I may make an exception and will gladly evaluate each request to offer/buy from such foreign buyers. Alternatively, buyers have the freedom to arrange for a friend to purchase items on their behalf. This \"shipping buddy\" would need to offer and pay using their own and PayPal accounts and their own shipping address. This \"buddy\" is then responsible for inspecting the item when it is received and then forwarding the item on to the buyer. One final word on international transactions: I will not ship without insurance nor falsify information on custom forms.
