RARE Antique Large D. Melvin Cobalt Blue Bird & Floral Design 4 Gallon Stoneware Jug

Description:

Presented for your consideration is this RARE antique stoneware jug. This jug is a 4 gallon size jug with a blue bird and floral design on the front and a handle on the top. \"D. Melvin\" is embossed in several places around the top of the crock and the number 4 is also embossed on the jug. It is finished with a smooth glaze. Design has a textured, raised finish. This neat jug would make an excellent addition to any crock or stoneware collection!

There is a chip out of the bottom edge and two hairline cracks are on the back. One of the cracks has two small hairline cracks branching out from it. There are also small hairline cracks near the handle, on the handle and where the handle attaches to the jug. None of the cracks are through and through. Some wear is present from age and use. Overall in GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details.

Measures 10 1/2\" in diameter at the base and 16 1/2\" tall.
