Offered in this sale is by far the nicest pair of early Staffordshire pottery dog figures I have had to offer on in some time. This pair come fresh from a local estate collection of fine early ceramics and porcelain and are quite early as you can tell from the recessed base and the delicate consistency of the pottery. They measure roughly 4\" tall x 2 1/4\" in diameter across the base. In addition to being an early model the condition of these is outstanding. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. I have carefully checked them over for restoration as more often than not the early ones you come across will have had work done on the ears, nose, legs and or base. These have not been touched.
