You are offerding on this Super Cool & Ultra RARE \"GIANT SONIC ROBOT\" manufactured by MODERN TOYS of Japan in the 1950\'s. The Robot stands a little over 15\" tall and is great working order, when you flip his switch he makes a loud train sound and all of his lights flash and he has what I would refer to as a bump and go action of rolling on the floor (he gets around quite well)... also his arms move slightly but I think they may have moved more when he was new, but I have never seen one of these before so I am not sure. He comes with his originalvery tattered box (one end flap is missing on the lid and the lid has several tears, the bottom is just bent out of shape otherwise it is okay and it still has the original insert and as the American Pickers would say \"it exist\"... see pictures). The robot itself is in very good to excellent cosmetic condition, but he does have a few light scratches and a very slight indent on the top back of his head, and it looks like for some reason that at some point in his life that someone may have replaced the side screws on his body, but his battery compartment is very clean and overall he looks terrific... with very little play wear. I acquired him at a local Estate in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Belle Avenueand he had been stored in a old built in window seat for I would guess probably 50+ years as he had several old Bills & letters from the 1960\'s packed on top of him.This Robot is considered to be one of the \"holy grails\" of robot collecting,he is believed to be the last member of the so-called \"Gang of Five,\" a set of skirted battery-operated robots that included Sonic, Radicon, Target, Non-Stop and Machine Man.
