Up for sale is a vintage 1940s Shawnee Pottery GOLD with Flowers Cookie Jar + the Matching 5" S&P Shakers. The cookie jar is a Blue Scarf with flowers on the stomach and arms, gold buttons front and back, gold trim on the feet and a gold Smiley written on the front.The Cookie Jar is marked USA on the bottom. There is some age crazing on the bottom and inside the jar. It looks like little cracks but it's not. There are no cracks. They are smooth to the touch. There is also some roughness on the unglazed rim of the bottom and a smooth chip on the inside unglazed rim of the head. There is some gold wear on the buttons and a glaze bump on the shoulder. It sounds like a lot of flaws but other than the gold paint wear on the buttons and factory glaze bump, nothing is visible. I just want to describe as accurately as possible. You can clearly see all this in the pictures. The Matching S&P Shakers are 5" tall. These are the matching Gold 4 hole/5 hole Blue Scarf with flowers shakers. Both have Gold Buttons on the front. Both have the original corks but one is on the inside and I can't get it out. There are no chips, crazing, or cracks that I can see or feel on either shaker. The blue scarf on the 5 hole shaker is very light blue but it is all under the glaze (no wear). There are 2 tiny pinpricks on the top of the 5 hole shaker and slight brown paint wear on the unglazed bottoms. You can see this clearly in the picture.
