Today I picked up this really unusual Krag Bayonet rig. I\'m assuming the sheath / scabbard was made for the U.S. Cavalry. Who knows, maybe this baby went up San Juan Hill with Teddy R.
The blade is dated 1898 and is a little \"salty\". Somelight scratches and some edge dings toward the tip. Totally untouched and it needs a good cleaning, but that is up to you…. I don\'t touch the stuff I find.
I think the sheath is the prize here. I\'ve never seen one and the condition is great. No issues to the leather and the straps and closure hole are very solid and stillserviceable.
