Offered here is a large 12\" long tin friction powered 1960 Mercedes Benz 220 \" fin tail \" 4 door sedan made by SSS Shioji of Japan and distributed by Cragston Toys. The car is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition with all parts intact including spare tire, extra hubcap, wheel wrench, instruction card and original factory box. The toy has a unique feature of being able to lift either side of the car automatically when a switch is flipped inside opening trunk. The hubcaps and wheels are then removable for changing. The tuxedo black paint is mirror smooth with that brilliant wet look luster. There are no dents or dings to be seen. Only one tiny hard to see nick on the hood is all that can be seen on the otherwise pristine finish. The two dimples seen in the trunk are not dings but actually from where the hinges connect underneath trunk lid. All SSS Benz Auto Jack cars have these manufacturing marks. Trim all shines like chrome with no tarnish or corrosion. Fragile metal Mercedes star hood ornament is still firmly intact. Patterned plastic headlights add an awesome realistic touch. Colorful litho interior is a delight to see with large separate plastic steering wheel. Plastic front and rear window \"glass\" are both crystal clear, void of any cracks, breaks or shrinkage and still held tightly in place. Glossy gray chassis shows just minor wear. Friction motor runs like new; long, strong, and smooth. Axle does have to be in just the right sweet spot for gears to engage. Hubcaps are very accurate and look just like those found on a full size Benz. Rubber tires are all flawless with no cracks or flat spots. Trunk lid lifts easily to expose two switches. One switch designates left or right jack, and the other is the wind mechanism for lifting. All operations work perfectly as they should. Original lug wrench, spare tire, extra hubcap and factory instruction card are included. Colorful factory box is clean and complete with no rips, tears or repair but lid does show moderate storage wear. A magnificent and desirable vintage tinplate toy car, made even better with a low starting offer and .........as always.

Your item will be securely packaged for a safe journey, but protective shipping coverage is offered and strongly recommended as I accept no responsibility for item once it is mailed. Delivery confirmation is included on every domestic shipment to insure the package arrives at it\'s destination. For international shipments both priority and first class postage are available. Shipping charges are fixed as is shipping method. A slight handling charge is built in to cover shipping room costs and help. I do not skimp on packing. I am a collector as well as a dealer, and many times have been chagrined to open a box and find a rare vintage toy broken en route. Not due to postal misuse, but by poor and insensitive wrapping. You will not receive toys packed like this from me. All my items are thoughtfully and carefully packed as though I would be mailing them to myself. Prices are set by size and weight. USPS Priority Mail dimensional weight rates will now apply for certain large packages shipped to select zones within the U.S. Priority Mail can be very expensive with an oversize package, as many of my toys require, therefore for those larger items I use Parcel Post which is just as safe and almost as fast.
