Up for offer is a sterling silver and pale yellow guilloche enamel tango compact and lipstick made by the R&G (LaMode) Company. The set comes in its original pink velvet fitted case. The octagon-shaped compact measures about 2 inches by 2 inches at its widest points, and the lipstick is about 1 and 1/2 inches long. The pink velvet case measures about 4 inches by 3 inches. The compact and lipstick are adorned with a purple and yellow pansy and are attached to an embossed finger ring by a delicate sterling chain. The finger ring is just slightly misshapen.
The center portion of the compact opens to a somewhat cloudy but still usable half-moon mirror (a small piece missing on one end) and an empty rouge well (the original reordering instructions still present) on the top. The bottom has a rotating powder well. The lipstick tube is empty. The compact is marked R&G Co. on the inside, and the lipstick is marked sterling on the top.
Overall condition is very good, with no damage to any of the enamel. The top compact portion closes securely. The pink velvet case shows some wear, but it has protected its contents well.
