This is a quite superb Meissen pug dog by Kaendler with rattles of which:

during our research: we have been informed it dates from the 19th century:

dates aboutc1850.

Underneath an incised number to the flat area of the base.

We have been informed it is of a Meissen of Germany origin by of the seated pug dog with the rattles on the blue collar with the bow.

Separate front legs.

Wonderful facial decoration.

Brown in colour with darker browns.

It has an overall height of about 5.25inches.

Overall size underneath including front legs of about 3.5 x 2.25inches.

Overall dia including curled tail of about 4.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent and is without any major blemish.

Besides being a very collectable mid 19th century Meissen pug dog by Kaendler with rattles, c1850, would also look fabulous displayed.
