The Synology DS411slim is designed to work with 2.5\" hard drives. The low power consumption characteristic of 2.5\" hard drives will lower your electricity bill, as well as reduce your carbon footprint. In addition, 2.5\" hard drives have reduced vibration, increased MTBF (mean time before failure), and shock tolerance. It not only extends hard drive\'s lifespan, but also provides better reliability. The smart fan design keeps the DS411slim\'s fan off under normal operations and spinning up at a very low speed only when needed, thus minimizing the noise level.

 

 

Flexible RAID Management

The Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR) automatically builds an optimal RAID volume with data protection based on the hard drives installed, eliminating the need to have hard drives of identical size, while still offering a manual setup option for advanced users.

 

 

Cross Platform File Sharing & Backup

Synology DiskStation is designed for data storage and sharing among Windows, Mac, and Linux. Seamless file sharing across different operation systems is an effortless process. Internet file access is simplified by the encrypted FTP server, the web-based File Browser and File Station. HTTPS, firewall, and IP auto-block support ensure file sharing over the Internet is protected at a high security level.
The Synology DS411slim offers a centralized backup target to consolidate fragmented and unstructured data across a network. PC Users can back up their data to the Synology DS411slim using the free Synology Data Replicator software, while Mac OS X users enjoy native Apple Time Machine integration.
A web-based backup wizard is provided for backing up data in the Synology DS411slim to another Synology DiskStation or any rsync server via an encrypted transmission, or to an external hard drive via USB or eSATA connection. Return Policy

1. If merchandise is defective we will supply you with exact same model replacement. Generally NO refunds or credits. If an exception is made to allow refund (even for defective items as replacements are free) a 20% restocking fee will be charged and this fee must be sent to us via PayPal in advance of return. (so we can refund the original transaction in full) There is a 14 day limit from order ship date to request a consideration for refund.
2. Store warranty is 30 days from date of purchase after which manufacturer warranty must be used.
3. If the exact item is not available, we may substitute the item with a similar item of equal or greater value with customer consent.
4. Defective item or content discrepancies must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
5. Returns must have all original packaging and accessories. Item must be shipped back in new condition and properly packed. Failure to enclose the product in a shipping box will void the return and product will be returned.
6. RMA number is required for all returns.
7. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and insurance.
8. Units returned and found not to be defective will be returned at the buyer\'s expense.

Shipping & Handling

1. Shipping prices, please find the shipping charge in the product’s "Shipping and Handling" tab. We use ONLY FedEx for international shipments (no post office).
2. Our price and shipping do not include customs/duty (taxes) for international orders. Customs and duty (taxes) is to be paid by the customer to the carrier/customs office upon the product’s arrival to the destination country. Customs and duty may reach as high as 60% of the value of products and sometimes higher! Please check with local customs office on rate if you have any questions before purchasing.
3. We do NOT ship or sell to following countries: Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Viet Nam.
4. Some Countries, such as U.K., customers may receive the shipment first and then is sent the customs (taxes) charges but those taxes remain the customer’s responsibility.
