Very good condition and guaranteed original US Army Model1889 sun helmet that is made of cork and was the model used in the SpanishAmerican War and the Philippines. Outside has nice form, no cracks or damage,and shows light wear and staining, has attractive color. Leather liner band issoft and supple with a little normal wear, no tears. Helmet has originalmanufacturer stickers inside, including one for size 7 and another with an 1899patent date. A tough to find US Army sun helmet that will make a fine additionto your collection.
