Stock for the Model of 1917 Enfield Rifle made by Winchester. Full length walnut stock, 42 1/2\" long. Has the butt plate with screwsand the two internal bolt hole liners. Left side of the stock stamped \"RIA / FK / 3\". Indicating it was part of the WWII rebuild at Rock Island Arsenal and inspected by Frank Krack. Below the trigger guard mortise is an \"Eagle Head / 513 / 1\". 513 indicates manufactureby Winchester. Tip of the stock has a \"W\" stamped in itbut it is more like an \"M\" see last photo. Stock shows light use and has a piece of wood inlayed at the tang area as part of the rebuild process. This shows its age and has been there since WWII. There is also a hair line crack at the small of the stock, see photos. The crack is very light and is on both sides.
