Here is an old fiddle that really needs some love and attention. It has a couple of face cracks, open seams. I\'ll do my best to try give accurate descriptions, but I must say that this violin needs work!!
On the up side, even with all of the issues, this violin sounds beautiful!! I wish that I had more time to do a full restoration!!! Here are some measures.
Body length : 362 mm, upper bout: 165mm, mid bout: 112mm, lower bout: 208mm, fingerboard: 270mm, neck length: 138mm.
Label reads: Carlo Turia Napolis; fece anno 1920
Bridge Stamp: Wm. Huggler
Potential issues: Edge under chinrest needs repair, center seam saddle separation/crack nearly to bridge .
