This necklace is unique for the color of the glass which is made to simulate Carnelian and the pretty enamel details. The back portion of the necklace is not original to the piece but is from the same time period and has a consistent patina so it is noticeable only upon very close inspection. There is one glass cabochon (the furthest up on the chain on the right side) that has a chips to three of its corners. There are no other chips to the glass and just a bit of soft surface wear. The enameling has wear and thinning, the top pendant is the brightest, I woulds say the enamel is 70% intact still. The brass setting has some darkening and discoloration but still has a nice patina. Overall this is a striking and colorful, Art Deco Carnelian glass and enamel necklace, that is from the 1930\'s and is in good condition.
