Vintage 1960 Sony Model 8-301W Portable Table Top 8” TV, Box, AC Cord, Nice One
Price: US $1249.95
Classic 1960 Sony model 8-301W portable table-top 8” TV. This was the very first TV Sony produced and is highly sought after by collectors today, especially when found in this extremely nice, all original condition. Cosmetics are indeed superb, the original paint shows just the slightest marks/wear, the chrome, knobs and all graphics are also very nice. Please notice the often broken antenna is complete and works fine and there are no chips, cracks or repairs to the fragile plastic handle. Looking closely I can see there is some very minor touch-up paint on the adjustable/removable visor and some slight pitting on the chrome bottom rail. The picture tube does light up and I can hear sound through the speaker, however I am selling this TV as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns. Comes as shown with nice, original, matching serial numbered box and original AC cord.

They don’t get much nicer than this, obviously it has been well kept and hardly used, most likely never used as a portable outside. I received no history with it when I bought it from another collector. I sold six of these in the last two years and this is by far the nicest I have ever owned. That includes the two I sold in 2013 on for $1,000 and $1,350.

TV measures 10” tall, 9” wide, 11” deep and weighs 16 lbs. It will measure approximately 16” tall, 15” wide, 16” deep and will weigh 20 lbs. packed. Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost approximately $10 and FedEx Ground shipping (cheapest/ best handling ground service) including $1,300 insurance will cost approximately $45.00 (because of large box size, not weight) depending on where you live. This is only an estimate, the buyer is to pay all shipping costs even if it goes past this estimate. I will refund any extra money if it ships for less. I do everything I can to keep cost down but some areas of the U.S. are higher than others. There is no charge for my packing labor.

I sell Vintage Audio and TV\'s for a living. Here are some of the TV’s/receivers I\'ve recently sold on . I packed them myself and shipped them all over the world, none were ever damaged. Please see my 15 year response and know you will receive exactly what is pictured and it will arrive undamaged.

The pictures below are of the actual vintage television chassis I am selling.

Please e-mail any questions you might have before offerding. Packing materials, shipping and insurance at cost. Never a packing fee, just my wholesale packing material costs and exactly what the Post Office/FedEx Ground charges me. Shipping quotes in the U.S. include insurance.

International buyers only: This is one of very few 1960\'s vintage TV\'s that can be shipped by United States Postal Service to all countries that have both the 79\" and 108\" maximum size, the rate will be provided under the, \"Shipping and payments\" tab when you choose the country it is to be shipped to. The $30 handling fee is for packing materials and $1,300 insurance at cost, the shipping calculator quotes at basic cost. If you pay through PayPal it must be valued and insured at the full price. If USPS will not insure it at full value then other payment/risk arrangement will have to be made.

No buyers with excessive negative response. Zero (0) buyers must e-mail me and identify themselves before offerding or they will be removed. This is to make it fair for all legitimate buyers.
