We purchased this years ago as a decorator piece and now are in the process of starting to down size.
This 1948 Philco Television has the date of Mar 16, 1948 on the inside with the number A98681. The Walnut cabinet measures 21 1/2 inches across x 14.1/2 inches top to bottom and 18 1/2 inches deep. The screen area is 8 1/2 inches x 6 inches with the actual picture inside of that area 5 1/2 inches x 4 1/2 inches. It has its knobs and a light comes on on the inside when I plug it in - however, it does not light up the screen any more. It did when we first purchased it, but that was years ago. It needs tubes or a tv repair man.
My husband did refinish this and now has a coat of shiny varnish. Rabbit ears are included.
This item is very heavy and cannot be shipped, it must be local pickup. I am in the northern Ky area near Cincinnati Ohio. Will meet for pickup. We are a non smoking home. Thanks and questions welcomed.
