This piece is not signed yet the design and construction is consistent with jewelry made by JakobBengel. The brick link design moves independently so each link pivots and adjusts to the neckline when worn. The links are fairly thin so the necklace lays flush. The front of the necklace is accented with a deep blue enameling. There are some chips and thinning to the enamel at the front of the necklace that enamel is 80% intact still and the enamel at the back of the necklace has come off almost completely. The chrome is bright and fresh looking without any darkening or discoloration. Overall this is a striking and modernist, machine age enamel necklace, made by Jakob Bengel during the 1930s that is in Excellent condition.
