This is a beautifully hand carved and highly detailed vintage shell cameo brooch. It is of the blessed mother; the Virgin Mary, Madonna. It is set in an ornate sterling silver filigree setting. It dates from the 1940-50\'s. It measures 1-7/8\" long by about 1-5/8\" wide and is in very good to excellent condition, no chips or cracks to the cameo. I have not cleaned it at all. I leave that decision to the new owner. Marked \"CAMEO STERLING\" on a plaque on the back. Please see all photos. The pictures don\'t do this piece any justice. It is better in person.
