I have a magnificent circa 1888 D.L. Bates Soda Shop Ice crusher/ shaver. It is solid brass on a marble base. Stands approx. 24" tall by 9" wide by 20" deep, weighing 55lbs. It would have been used to crush/shave Ice for drinks in a soda shop. Fully functioning with the blades. One sold in 2005 for $3795.00.
