I don\'t know the actual age, but this is the toy version of the automaton singing bird cage. The toy was manufactured by Georg Kohler, Nurnberg, Germany. The exterior of the cageis inexcellent physical condition. The bird is tin litho, and moves like it is supposed to. The felt has been replaced, and has a layer of dust(sorry about that). It has a mechanicalkey wind movement, that works, but has been reworked, and needs servicing to work properly.. In other words the insides are As Is... The diaphragmis gone, and needs to be replaced. The originalproduct tag is attached to the cage, and the key might not be the original key. The cage appears to be brass, or brass plated. It is 7\" indiameter, and 15\" high to the top of the ring.
