Up for offers is a vintage GIBSON mandolin Junior. The inside label says--GIBSON MANDOLIN-GUITAR CO., THE GIBSON JUNIOR MANDOLIN-STYLE A-Jr., No. 78711 (NUMBER HANDWRITTEN) KALAMAZOO, MICH...USA Also Oct. 1925 is handwritten on the label--Not sure who wrote this. The mandolin plays ok but could use some cosmetic love. It obviously has been used a lot and has the scratches and scrapes to prove that. It comes in the original case that also could use some love. Some of the outside stitching is coming loose. One of the pictures shows a short crack or scratch on the top side of the back--should be very visible in the pic. It is marked--Pat. Mar 30-09 and PAT July 4-1911 on the side silver metal piece.The mandolin measures approx. 26 1/2\" long and 10 1/2\" across the rounded part. The side of the rounded part is just slightly under 2\" (depth) There are NO noticeable parts that look like they were replaced so as far I see--looks like the parts are original but I might be wrong.
