Here is a HOPI POKO or DOG KACHINA, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, A WELL CARVED / PAINTED NATIVE AMERICAN COTTONWOOD CARVING. A nice and collectible vintage, authentic Hopi Katsina Doll, a made from solid Cottonwood. This Kachina was made by an expert HOPI maker - Hopituh Shimmunu .

This is a fine looking Kachina, with a great workmanship, and a nice paint job, as well as expert carving. He is made from solid Cottonwood Tree Wood standing at about 10\" tall, and 3\" wide at shoulders. There is some very minor wear to paint / feathers, but no damage (no cracks or breaks in body). This Kachina, as you can see from the pics, displays extremely well, is in excellent condition, is well made, handsome and a collectible piece of Native America.

The body is carved from a single piece of the traditional Cottonwood - a tree that grows in washes and canyons where water is more HERE IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A DOG or POKO, an AUTHENTIC HOPI HAND CARVED AND PAINTED KACHINA. THIS POKO KACHINA ACTS AS A CLOWN ON FIRST AND SECOND MESA. THE DOG KACHINA REPRESENTS THE SPIRIT OF ALL DOMESTIC carved and painted by a master Hopi Kachina carver/maker -FNA on bottom of foot (Francis Ami or possibly Farrell Ami, per estate sale information)!!!
