Vintage Joe Gigl of Fremont, Wisconsin cork Canadian goose decoy. This extraordinary decoy is from the Dennis Edwards estate collection. Over half a century ago Dennis went on buying trips hitting all the decoy hotspots from Greenbay through Fremont, Tustin, Oshkosh, Sheboygan, etc., and all the areas along the Wolf and Fox Rivers, including Lake Poygan and Lake Winnebago. He collected many works of art that were made by Joe Gigl. This goose is of course all original as the photos show. It has the wood head and tail, along with the wood base board. There is a lead weight and line tie on the bottom. There are initials KL also on the bottom. There is only a little paint wear and minor nicks, so in great condition considering Joe Gigl\'s circa 1930\'s. You have to ask yourself how many chances you will have at a Joe Gigl decoy.
