Very early Kamaka Pineapple Ukulele Late 1920s to early 1930s no 88 is written on the inside lable
I received Ukulele his from the son of the original owner who lived in Hawaii ( his mother ) it has been safely stored for many years
Looks like Solid Monkey Pod or Mahogany ( I do not think it is Koa )
Wonderful original condition!
Bridge is strong and not pulling up
Original wood nut was loose and has a chip but I reused it to keep it original
Straight neck!
Frets are great!
No cracks on top or sides
**One crack on the back was clamped and glued (I am a luthier ) see pictures, Crack ran right through a darker grain pattern
Headstock decal is long gone but you cab see where it was
Pineapple sticker between sound hole and bridge is long gone but you can see where it was
Original Finish ( does have some dipping at one of the peg holes on the back of the headstock) ( these were a bit roughly hand made at the time)
Original Wooden Tuning Pegs
Strings up nicely ( may want to change to better tuners if you plan on playing it often )
Very rare to find these early Kamaka Pineapples in this great of shape
Very early hand made production Number: \"no 88\"
Sorry but USA shipping only ( will ship in an over sized box for added protection )

Hello, I just wanted to comment on the production number on the label of this Kamaka Pineapple: I can not confirm it is No 88, I did not check with Kamaka Company, and I am not sure it really matters? But I do not want to misrepresent this listing
I have looked at the number very closely and have tried to include a good clear picture and since it has the wooden tuning pegs, and I can confirm the original owner history ( who live in Hawaii at the time ) I believe it to be very early production instrument
So please offer on this Ukulele based on it being an early Kamaka Pineapple, not that it is a confirmed number 88th one produced
I do appreciate all comments
Thank you, Mark

Also I want to add that I meant to say \"finish dripping\" not \"dipping\" at the back of the headstock by one of the tuning pegs
Thanks

**Adding one more picture of the label: Note that there is no lettering or number before the \"N\" looks like a \"N\" to me and
does not look like \"21088\" to me. The numbers two ( 2 ) and one ( 1 ) do not usually flow together ? and the \"o\" is so much smaller
Again, you buyers and watchers be the judge or contact Kamaka before sale end ( I here they are wonderful and may be able to confirm the date)
Thanks again for all your questions and comments, MarkAlso, there is no case for this Pineapple, but I do have experience in shipping instruments safely
