Up for offer is an original Mills Tab Gum machine, also called a subway vendor. Nice and shiny stainless steel construction. Has the original M3 Mills lock and a duplicate key made from the Mills master lock key. The outer housing unit is stainless steel. The back has four factory drilled holes. The bottom has the original rubber end pieces. Original Coin box. It can be mounted on the wall or in a stand up position. Its dimensions are roughly 15\" tall, 11\"wide and 4\" thick at the base. Weighs about 14 1/2 lbs. It narrows to around 2.5\" in the section that the gum is stored. This model was used to vend various Adams gums like Chiclets, Beemans and Dentyne. This one has three larger sections for the Dentyne and Beemans and three smaller sections for the Chiclets gum. Also included will be 12 plastic gum tabs which I designed and produced to simulate the various gums that will allow you to properly check the operation of the machine. Each tab is constructed of three layers of colored plastic to conform with the gum that at one time was used in these machines but is no longer available. Outside of being used for checking the machine it makes for a beautiful display. It has been tested hundreds of time to make sure that it operates correctly. It will reject items that are not applicable for its use, such as metal washers, dimes, white pennies, etc. I will also send you the nine page Mills patent document consisting of four pages of diagrams and five pages for operating the machine. It explains the operation from the time a penny is inserted till the time the gum is ejected from the front opening. This gum machine has been in my collection for the last 58 years.
