This is a vintage music box made by Mira. It probably dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. It plays well but could probably stand to be cleaned, lubricated and serviced. It is complete with its hand crank and comes with twelve 6 3/4 inch metal disks. The wood box seems to be mahogany with a dark red finish. The box measures 10 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches high. The single comb is missing no teeth and is mounted on a ribbed gilt metal base. The drive turntable is metal and has the number 75089 stamped on it as well as \"Patent Applied For\" in smaller letters.
The 12 music disks are a variety of music that I believe date back to beforethe WWI era.
This a beautiful working music box that will become a nice addition to any music afficionado\'s collection.
