Up for sale with is a Very Rare 1927 Staffordshire English Studio Art Dulwich Pottery Lady Figure. The Figure is of superb quality throughout depicting a seated Peasant Woman with Broom. I do not know a great deal about this figure, I am told it is a very Rare find. I am told this is by the Potters Jessamine Bray and Sybill Williams who worked with the famous Charles Vyse in the early 20th Century. The Figure features quite exquisite details and very rich jewel tone colors throughout, showing the fine quality.The Figure is marked on the bottom with an under glaze signature J.S.B.V.W in monogram, Dulwich, 1927 Eng., \"Marie - no. 28\". The Figure is also in amazing condition, hard to believe the Ribbons on her hat have never been damaged, they look so fragile. The only thing to point out is some tiny glaze wear to the base corners and some light crazing. The Figure displays beautifully measuring 9-1/2\" tall by 3-1/8\" wide across the base. I doubt you will find another figure like this up for sale, especially selling without reserve !
