This pendant is unique for its 2-dimensional detail and the charming strawberry design motif. The base of the pendant is a very fine mesh that is shaped to have the look of fabric or velvet. The two strawberries are just under 3/8\" at their widest point. The purple glass cabs are made to simulate Amethyst and the central glass cab is large at 1 1/4\" at its widest point. The glass is open at the back and faceted on both sides for the maximum amount of light and refraction. There are no chips and very little surface wear to the glass so the glass is very fresh looking. The drop and tassels at the bottom dangle freely giving the pendant a nice amount of movement. There are no irregularities to the setting or signs of repair. The piece has a dark patina and most likely was quite a bit lighter originally. My guess is that originally this pendant was attached to a long chain of glass and was a sautoir style of piece. Overall this is a very unique and well made, Art Nouveau glass strawberry pendant, that is from the 1910\'s - 20\'s that is in Very good condition.
