This set is unique for the fact that the bracelet and necklace are still together and the striking contrast between the chrome and bright red color. The set has Bengel\'s classic brick links that move independently so the set moves and adjusts when worn. The geometric modern looking plastic links (I\'m not sure if they are Galalith or Celluloid) are a vivid cherry red. There is some discoloration and crackling to the surface of the plastic (see photos) but the wear is more so on one side of the necklace than the other. There is one link that has a crack along the side of the connecting point, the crack is fairly long which you can see in a photo but the link still seems firm and strong. There is some wear to the chrome but the location of the wear is on the same side of the wear to the plastic - so the other side of the necklace is quite fresh looking. Overall this is a finely designed and colorful, Art Deco Machine Age Necklace and Bracelet Set, that was made by Jakob Bengel during the 1930\'s and is in good condition.
