This piece has a substantial weight and feel with a full profile that is striking and colorful when worn. The central glass cab is thick, open at the back and faceted on both sides so it has a lot of light and refraction. There are a few teeny tiny chips and nicks to the edges of the cab but they are noticeable only on close inspection. The glass on the pendant has very little surface wear and the faceting is crisp and fresh looking. Some of the beads on the chain have been replaced - or at least some of the beads have been removed as the connecting links are slightly irregular and there is one cap to a bead missing. My guess is that this necklace was a little bit longer originally. Having said that this is noticeable only on close inspection and not so much as the piece is worn. There are no chips to the glassbeads along the chain and there is just a bit of discoloration here and there to the brass caps. Overall this is a colorful and striking, Art Deco glass necklace, that was made in Czechoslovakia during the 1920\'s - 30\'s and is in good condition.
