This large range set of Lobster Salt & Pepper shakers is in amazing condition! As found with the original Kenwood foil stickers. Shawnee Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio was in business between 1937 and 1961. I believe these were made in the 1940s or 50s.Embossed U.S.A. on the bottom of the tails. The red price of $1.49 is from a marking pencil used at the time. It can be removed.They were not used. The paint is in excellent condition. The tiny white spot shown may be on top of the paint, I cannot verify. I did not want to rub too hard to try to remove it because these pottery lobsters are "cold painted", or painted over the glaze. You must be careful washing or wiping them, as the paint will come off.The glaze is perfect, no crazing. No chips, cracks or wear.Measurements are : 7" long and 4" across the widest part.Please inspect all photos and email any questions!
