WW2 WWII GERMAN ARMY HEER NAMED OFFICER DAGGER ORIG.
Price: US $430.00

I’ll be selling several items for a family friend fromher father’s estate, please keep an eye on my sales, as he was quite aneclectic collector and there are a number of unusual pieces. SELLING AT ! 3 DAY sale!

As shown, an all-original late war German army officer’sdagger, engraved and identified to “Dr. Verhoff” – would make a fascinatingresearch project. Guaranteed originaland untouched. Directly out of theestate of Major Charles Dearmon, who spent 27 years in the Army. Major Dearmon was stationed in Germany as asupply officer throughout the most of his career. There are multiple items attributed to Wehrmacht Army officer “Dr. Verhoff.\"

It is believed Verhoff was a doctor at the ArmyHospital in Nuremberg, and was possibly stationed there during WWII, as MajorDearmon spent a good deal of time in Nuremberg and handled supply issuesfor the hospital while it was under U.S. Army control in the 1950\'s and 1960\'s. More details will be forwarded along to thewinner of the sale. This is an honest two-owner dagger – German Doctor Verhoff to Major Dearmon, and now it’s being offered toyou. I have known the family for many years, these items have been in Major Dearmon\'s home office since he returned from Germany around 1967.

No maker\'s marks found anywhere on the dagger, very typical late war construction, painted gray fittings, lower grade polished carbon steel blade, some pitting, as shown, grip in excellent condition, blade shows typical age with some scuff marks on the back near the tip as shown. I do not believe it the Major ever attempted to polish it or sharpen it, not sure what made the marks but they have been there a very long time - blade appears to have never been messed with and the dagger is just as it was in 1945. The doctor\'s name is neatly engraved on the cross guard, as shown. Minor shallow small dent in the scabbard near the tip, but a truly unmolested and all-original piece named to a Wehrmacht physician. Very rare opportunity.

Will ship to U.S. address only – NOEXCEPTIONS! Thanks and please ask anyquestions, all sales final, more sales to follow in the coming weeks.
