Austro-Hungarian dress dagger for officers of the Navy, 1853model.

The M 1853 dagger has an ivory color hilt. Hilt isvertically striated so it has six vertical plates. The pommel is made out of brasswith handmade engraved decorations. Pommel is made in the shape that looks likeAustrian empire crown of Rudolf II. The cross – guard is made out of brass,with a light \"S\" shape profile. On the bottom there is ring on whichcomes the scabbard locket. On the back side there is safety button which isused for detaching the dagger from scabbard.

These daggers were worn by officers of Austrian-Hungariannavy until 1918. when navy of Kraljevina SHS was formed.
