Very good condition WWI US ArmyModel 1913 Patton Cavalry Saber sword. Maker marked “L.F.&C.” on the leftricasso for Landers, Frary, & Clark and dated 1918 with a flaming bombproof. Right ricasso is marked “U.S.” with an eagle head proof. 35 ¼” blade hasnice original bright finish with some scattered gray. No sharpening, nicks, ordings. Remaining metal finish is nice original black paint. Hard rubber gripshave a good tight fit and crisp original checkering. No cracks or chips. Fittedin correct original canvas covered rawhide scabbard that has steel throat andtip. Canvas shows some wear and staining. A classic Patton sword for yourcollection.
