Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI US Model1913 Patton cavalry sword. Maker marked L.F.&C. and dated 1918 on the leftside of the blade ricasso with a flaming bomb proof mark. Right side of ricassois marked “U.S.” with an eagle head proof mark. 35 ¼” blade has nice originalbright finish with some scattered gray. Edge has a few small nicks. Remainingmetal finish is original blue showing some wear. Left side of guard has adrilled hole. Black grips show a little normal wear, no damage. Fittedin correct original canvas covered scabbard that has steel throat and tip.Canvas is salty showing wear and fading. Has a leather frog attached that is invery good condition and may be a replacement. A classic WWI cavalry sword thatwill make a fine addition to your collection.
