Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI US Model1913 Patton cavalry sword. Maker marked L.F.&C. and dated 1918 on the leftside of the blade ricasso with a flaming bomb proof mark. Right side of ricassois marked “U.S.” with an eagle head proof mark. 35 ¼” blade has nice originalbright finish with a few spots of light pitting. Remaining metal finish is blackpaint showing a little wear. Black grips show a little normal wear, no damage. Swordhas a leather knot attached. Fitted in correct original canvas covered scabbardthat has steel throat and tip. Canvas has old added green paint. Has twoleather straps that are replacements. A classic WWI cavalry sword that willmake a fine addition to your collection.
