Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI US ArmyModel 1913 Patton cavalry sword. Maker marked L.F. & C. on the right sideof the blade for Landers Frary & Clark and dated 1918. Left side of blade ismarked U.S. with an eagle head proof mark. 35 ¼” blade has original brightfinish with some scattered brown and gray. Edge has a few nicks and dings.Remaining metal finish is refinished black with a few normal handling marks,looks nice. Checkered black plastic grips have a good tight fit and no damage.Fitted in correct original canvas covered scabbard that has steel throat andtip. Canvas has nice green paint, possibly repainted. Steel fittings have beennicely refinished. A hard to find WWI Patton cavalry saber that will make anexcellent addition to your collection.
