Very good condition and guaranteed original WWII German 98kMauser bayonet that is complete with matching numbered scabbard and frog.Bayonet is marked with code “clc” on the left side ricasso for production byRichard Herder, and dated 1942. Blade has original blue metal finish showingsome wear toward the tip, and was never sharpened. Remaining metal finish isbrown and gray with a little pitting and scale. Bakelite grips have a goodtight fit and show some handling marks, lock button functions fine. Matchingnumbered steel scabbard is also marked “clc 1942” and has original blue metalfinish showing some wear to brown and gray and some scattered scale andpitting. No dents. Leather frog is soft and supple with some normal wear,stitching and rivets are nice and tight. Faint maker markings on the back of the belt loop. A nice matching numbered 98k bayonetrig that will make a fine addition to your collection.
