Very good condition original WWII Polish WZ 28 Mauserbayonet that has clear Radom arsenal and W.P. eagle markings on the blade.Bayonet was captured and reissued by the Germans during WWII and modified withthe removal of the muzzle ring. Blade has original blue metal finish with somewear and has been sharpened. Remaining metal finish is original blue with alittle brown and gray. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit,lock button functions fine. Fitted in an original WWII German steel scabbardthat is marked BERG & CO. 1940. Scabbard has mixed blue, brown, and graymetal finish and no dents. Frog stud is a little loose. Also complete with anoriginal WWII German leather frog that is soft and supple with some normalwear. Stitching and rivets are nice and tight, frog is complete with handlestraps and is maker marked on the back. A hard to find Polish Mauser bayonetthat will make an excellent addition to your collection.
