When the system is plugged in and turned on, it starts up. Mac OS 7.5.5 was just installed on the internal spacious 160 megabyte (160 MB) hard drive. Palm-rest, keyboard, and trackball mechanism are complete. 9.8" monochrome active-matrix display shows full to moderate brightness for its age of 30 years, but may experience effects of tunnel vision after moderate usage. Configured with 8MB of RAM (total) installed, with a 160MB hard drive and an internal fax/data modem. This PowerBook 170 is very special because the 68882 FPU co-processor is configured on the logic board. The internal Apple SuperDrive FDHD 1.4MB floppy disk drive is functioning. The 6MB memory module is installed in addition to the 2MB of RAM that ships standard with a PowerBook 180. Ships with a standard PowerBook AC adapter with standard power cable and a PowerBook 100 series Battery (included, but charge capabilities are not assured nor guaranteed - it will be shipped inside the same package).
