Condition
The iMac has been cleaned, tested and maintained and presents exceptionally well for its age. The translucent Snow enclosure is especially clean, and the original plastics, keyboard and mouse have been preserved rather than replaced with modern reproductions.
The CRT, speakers, optical drive, keyboard, mouse and other functions have been tested.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual machine and actual included items.
Vintage Condition / Original Components:
This is a vintage computer originally released around 2000 and should be purchased with the expectations appropriate for a 26-year-old collector/vintage computer, rather than a modern everyday computer.
During inspection and upgrading, some age-related degradation was observed in the inner bezel, including cracking. This is limited to the affected internal plastic bezel components. The cracking does not affect the computer's structural integrity, operation, or functionality.
Replacement parts for the affected bezel components are available, including 3D-printed reproductions. However, this iMac retains its original components, and I have chosen to preserve those original parts rather than replace them with reproductions.
The condition should therefore be considered in the context of the computer's age and its status as a surviving vintage example. Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up condition photographs, before purchasing. The computer is being sold as a vintage/collector item, with the age-related condition disclosed above.
A particularly nice opportunity for an Apple collector, retro-computing enthusiast, or someone looking for a complete period-correct iMac G3 setup.
