Backwards Backplane V1.0 is an ATX mountable backplane that's compatible with PCISA/PISA, Allen Bradley, and ISA half-sized single board computers.
You must have a compatible SBC to use this backplane in a working system!!This backplane is intended for those that understand the issues arising from integrating a vintage SBC into a modern ATX case. This is not a "kit" and will need all the additional hardware to make a functional system!
I've tested this backplane with a variety of vintage SBCs including Socket 7 Pentium, 486, Socket 370 Pentium III, and embedded CPUs. However, I can't account for all variations of SBC that use the dual-level edge connector. This backplane features a PCI mapper card that must be configured properly. This configuration is part of the manufacture specification and is not guaranteed to be "universal" within SBCs that simply share the half-size formfactor!!
I've included two pre-configured mapper cards. They are dual sided and reversable. One card comes with the proper configuration for the Allen Bradley and standard PISA PCI ID and interrupt routing. The second card comes with the alternate PCISA configuration with the reverse unpopulated (blank). If these mapper cards don't work with your SBC, it's possible to populate the blank side with the proper configuration. However, if this configuration isn't provided by the manufacture, it may be very difficult to determine!!Comes with (1x Backward V1.0 Backplane), (2x PCI Mapper Cards), and (2x sets of mounting screws). A small diameter head screw is requiered to not cause damage to the backplane and power supply.YOU MUST USE THE INCLUDED MOUNTING SCREWS AND NYLON WASHERS IN YOUR SETUP!!Nylon washers are meant to be used on the top side of the board.

Special support for half-sized Allen Bradley SBCs included CPU power and BIOS battery supplied from the backplane.
Onboard ISA ES1869F sound chip. IDE CD-ROM, joystick, AC97, and wavetable (vertical-mount) support as part of the onboard sound chip. These options will be disabled if the disable jumper is set on the backplane in favor or combined with an additional sound card.
