This is a working Bell & Howell Apple II Plus (A2S1016B) — the rare black “Darth Vader” variant produced for institutions in 1980. This unit powers on, passes self‑test, and responds to keyboard commands. The PR#0 command executes correctly, confirming the ROM and keyboard are functioning.Premium Configuration Installed
This machine includes the highly desirable Apple Language Card, providing a full 64KB RAM configuration. The bottom label indicates this was originally a 16KB model, so the upgrade was done early in its life. The Language Card alone is a valuable collector component.Condition

Video output has not yet been tested with a monitor, but the machine’s behavior strongly indicates a functioning board and ROM. Sold as‑is due to age, but this is a solid, working example of a rare Apple II variant.
