Fresh Fish" refers to a CD-ROM collection of public domain software for the Commodore Amiga, released by Fred Fish starting in 1994 as a culmination of his monthly Amiga disk releases. These CDs were not video games but rather compilations of software, developer materials, and open-source programs submitted by users for sharing and community use, with the first being "Frozen Fish Vol.1".

What it was:

A CD-ROM collection: Instead of a single game, "Fresh Fish" was a series of CD-ROMs containing software for the Amiga computer.

Public domain software: The collection featured public domain software, which is free to use and distribute.

Fred Fish's legacy: It was an extension of Fred Fish's renowned monthly disk series that ran from 1986 to 1994.

For sharing and community: The CDs were a way for Amiga enthusiasts to share and receive new software and code because the internet was not widely accessible to the public.

What it contained:

Unpacked programs: Software was included in a directly runnable format, making it easy to start.

Archived versions: Users could also find versions of the software archived as LHA files, a common file format for Amiga.

Developer material: The CDs also provided the latest development resources from Commodore Amiga.

Open-source software: New ports of open-source software, such as those from GNU, were also featured.
