Vintage Gateway desktop computer with Intel Pentium II 350MHz processor. The computer powers on and successfully enters the BIOS. A keyboard is required to continue through the BIOS setup. The BIOS detects the CPU and memory correctly.

The system begins loading Windows 98, but ScanDisk reports a file system/FAT read error on drive C: and Windows does not finish loading. The BIOS settings are also reset after power loss, indicating the CMOS battery likely needs replacement.
