The latest laptops from HP, Lenovo and Asus are increasingly equipped with the Kensington Nano Security Slot, which offers all the security features and benefits of the standard Kensington Security Slot, but is 70 percent smaller. However, these devices can be so thin that the lock is thicker than the laptop itself. This prevents the device from lying flat on a surface, making the keyboard and trackpad inconvenient to use. The Slim NanoSaver 2.0 laptop lock features a smaller lock head where the locking tab is low and the key cylinder is positioned high and out of the way. This careful locking solution does not block connections. A retractable carbon steel cable stretches up to 1.8 m (6') and shrinks to 76 mm (3"), making this lock easy to transport. The strength has been tested and tested in terms of torque/pull and other environmental conditions.
