Orange Pi 5 Max — 8GB LPDDR5 — Boots Out of the Box

Not abare board. This is a complete, tested system with Official OS already flashedto the onboard eMMC — plug in power and HDMI and you're at a login prompt.

The256GBeMMC is included and already imagedwith Orange Pi's official Ubuntu 22.04Jammy Server. These modules are hard to find stateside — no separate order, noflashing it yourself.

  • Wi-Fi 6E associated, internet verified ✓
  • eMMC read/write verified, then securely erased before imaging ✓
  • M.2 slot verified with a known-good NVMe — PCIe Gen3 link up ✓
  • Full 227GB root filesystem — no shrunken partition to expand ✓
  • Idle 37–42 °C on an open bench, no fan(44–47 °C racked, same passive cooling)

On power

This boardwants5V at 5A— a lot of USB-C chargers won't deliver it, and youget brownouts or a board that won't post. The included RasTech GaN PSU israted 5.1V/5A and has run with no power issues.
NOTE: All boards and PSUs have been running continuously on a CyberPowerCP1500PFCLCD pure sine wave UPS with AVR — no surges, no brownouts, no hardpower-offs.

Oncooling

No fanincluded — these ran fine passively at 37–42 °C idle, the aluminum case doingthe work. If you want active cooling for a heavier workload, the case takes astandard 30×30×10mm 5V fan off the GPIO header.I would go with a dualball bearing one personally.

Condition

Used, from aworking Linux cluster. Never overclocked, never modified. Heatsinks come pre-installedon every board.

OS:officialOrange Pi Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Server, freshly flashed and SHA256 verifiedagainst the vendor image. Completely stock — no credentials, no accounts, noleftover config. First boot is yours.

Notincluded:NVMe drive, microSD card, case fan.
