This sale is for a vintage Micron Transport ZX laptop. This laptop was tested to power on and boot into Windows 98 Second Edition. Per our security policy, all personal data and documents have been purged. The battery no longer holds a charge but the OEM AC adapter is included.
Cosmetic wise: The laptop features a rubberized coating which has gotten sticky with age. There are cracks on the lid by the screw holes. One of the rubber screw covers is missing and the other is held in with a piece of tape. There are cracks forming on the screen bezel. The palm-rest and keyboard show signs of wear are are missing the old processor and OS badges.
Performance wise: The laptop has average performance. There were no serious performance drops when testing. Performance drops are to be expected with vintage hardware and software.
NOTE: The internal CMOS battery is dead and needs to be replaced. Certain BIOS settings such as the date/time and other settings will be lost if the laptop is disconnected from power. The internal floppy drive is damaged and needs to be replaced. When a disk is inserted, the drive will make loud whirring sounds and will not read the disk.
